The Trapdoor Springfield US Army Rifle features a 32 5/8" round barrel with a blue finish and an adjustable rear sight. This is a "two band" model with sling swivels. All the major metal parts are blued, except except for the breech door and buttplate which are case colored. The wood is walnut with an oil finish.

The Officer's Rifle was a late manufactured model produced between 1875 and 1885. These were the very best quality rifles at the time and were available to only a few shooters. Our rifle comes with a 26 inch round barrel with a blue finish. The stock is walnut with an oil style finish and is checkered at the wrist and at the forend. The forend cap is hand fitted to the rifle. Equipped with a single set trigger, rear sight (USA 473) and Creedmoor sight adjustable in elevation and windage. The receiver, lock, hammer, trigger guard assembly and buttplate are all case colored.

The broached rifling barrel is made of high carbon steel, matte blue. The frame with the engraved Pedersoli's "dp" logo has a case hardened color. It is equipped with a single set trigger. Wyatt Earp (1848-1929) was one of the most known personages during the Western epoch, becoming famous for the O.K. Corral shootout in Tombstone, Arizona (October 26, 1881). The event, which has been the inspiration for several movies, reminds us of the gun fight between the brothers Virgil, Morgan and Wyatt Earp together with Doc Holliday engaged with the brothers Billy and Ike Clanton and brothers Frank and Tom McLaurys' joining one Billy Claiborne. Only about thirty shots were fired, not many victims left on the ground but it is remembered as one of the most significant in the Old West history.
The Wyatt Earp side by side shotgun can be easily opened with only one hand allowing very fast loading of the shells. The extraction of the shells is quick and the cocking of the hammers is easy.
The walnut pistol grip stock is checkered.
The case hardened frame has the writing Wyatt Earp.
