Rocky Mountain Hawken

The Hawken is a symbol of the period that saw the passage from the long and heavy small caliber Pennsylvania rifles to more practical and powerful Plains rifles, and the definite abandoning of the flintlock for the far more modern percussion system. The strong barrel and the larger calibre, enabled hits on any target with surprising accuracy. This rifle soon became the inseparable friend of the Mountains men, and the most famous explorers of the American continent.

The Jäger rifle is well known in Germany and in the neighbouring Countries especially for hunting, it was taken to the New Continent by immigrants looking for a new life in a new Country.
The Jäger rifle was one the most balanced and compact rifles, very characteristic for its big caliber; equipped with double set trigger, it was very precise, able to shoot big balls having a very high energy.
The Jäger rifle was first made in the flintlock version and only afterwards it was transformed to a percussion rifle.
Our reproduction gives the shooter improved results due to the broached rifling as well as the lock parts produced on highly advanced computer controlled machines (CNC). The fine artistic beauty is captured in the patch box with sliding lid, in the walnut wood and completed with steel furniture and fittings which create a strong image for this rifle.
It is a fine performing rifle, both for hunting and for target shooting.

Country Hunter
The Country Hunter model is not based on any particular nineteenth century manufacturer’s products, but rather is a generic example of a typical, no-frills working gun of the period, commonly known as halfstock ‘sporting guns’; specimens of which would have gone west on many covered wagons. This really is a basic rifle, which, other than its brass trigger guard, is lacking any form of decoration and incorporates nothing that is not necessary for the operation of the arm. To this end, you get the Pedersoli quality we are used to, with a price tag that we are not.

Plains Shotgun "The Fast Back Action"
The success enjoyed by the “back action” style lock and the single trigger originally produced by Baker in London enabled us to produce this side by side shotgun
The same mechanism featured in the Coach Gun models of this gun offers the advantage of a fast second shot, thanks to the back action lock reducing minor residues of black powder in the lock parts.

In 1763 France adopted a new infantry musket, more strong than the previous one, to answer the needs of an accelerated fire coming from the war tactics developed during the Seven Years War.
The new gun was found too heavy and was replaced after only three years by the 1766 Model, promoted by M. de Montbeillard, inspector of the Manufacturer of Saint-Etienne, built in more of 150,000 units until 1769. After this date it has been replaced by the Model 1770/71 and the muskets given back from the soldiers have been used in 1775 when the American Independence War started and France distributed numerous 1766 muskets to the troops of the new born United States of America.

An IX De Cavallerie
S202
Reproduction of one of the most representative models equipping the Napoleon troops. It equipped all the cavalry corps (hunters, cavalrymen, grenadiers, lancers, carabineers and dragoons) including the hussars, who however always preferred their 1786 musket, lighter and shorter. With small modification the gun was distributed to some infantry corps and to the navy. The cavalry musket was manufactured until the 1816 in about 225,000 units and several other European countries imitated it to equip their corps, like for instance the Royal Cavalry Carabineers of the Sardinia Reign, 1814.
Produced with smooth barrel and oil finished walnut stock, some of the metal furnitures are in brass, like the butt plate, the trigger guard, the side plate and the front band.
